NJ Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) \u2013\u00a0 Tuition and eligible Fees coverage<\/h2>\n

Eli<\/strong>gibility Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. CCOG grant is limited to eligible students enrolled in at least six (6) credits per term.<\/li>\n
  2. Household adjusted gross income (AGI) as per filed IRS tax return, is between $0 and $65,000 or<\/li>\n
  3. Household with an AGI between $65,001-$80,000 may be eligible for tuition and eligible fees coverage up to 50% of the maximum CCOG award only.<\/li>\n
  4. Household with an AGI between $80,001-$100,000 may be eligible for tuition and eligible fees coverage up to one third (1\/3) of the maximum CCOG award only.\u00a0 Note: Maximum cost may vary based on number of registered credits each term.<\/li>\n
  5. Does not have a prior college degree.<\/li>\n
  6. Out of County students must obtain and submit a\u00a0Charge-Back<\/a>\u00a0form to the\u00a0Bursar Office.<\/a><\/li>\n
  7. Out of County students eligibility is based on their resident county college CCOG maximum, not to exceed CCM\u2019s amount per HESAA.<\/li>\n
  8. Processed\u00a0FAFSA<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/u><\/a>\u00a0for NJ Dreamer valid results received by the Financial Aid Office.<\/li>\n
  9. Funding no greater than CCM tuition and prescribed fees\u00a0(degree\/certificate program)\u00a0<\/em>up to 18 credits per term cost.<\/li>\n
  10. CCOG award amount may vary continually from the initial awarded amount during the registration period, due to changes in the number of credits registered until the start of the term or changes in late-start term credits.<\/li>\n
  11. CCOG grant is awarded after all other grant aid, including tuition waivers and community based grant aid\u00a0(loans excluded)\u00a0<\/em>are applied and is based on current credits at the time of disbursement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF)<\/h2>\n

    New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS)<\/h2>\n

    The New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS), established in 2004, provides New Jersey\u2019s highest achieving students with free tuition; less any state and\/or federal grants and scholarships, for up to five semesters at their home county college.<\/p>\n

    NJ STARS scholarship recipients who PLAN TO TRANSFER to a four-year New Jersey public college or university may also qualify for a tuition-free education through\u00a0NJ STARS II<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n

    File an Affidavit to Legalize Immigration Status<\/a> with the Registrar Office<\/a> stating that the student has filed an application to legalize his\/her immigration status with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S.Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)<\/a> or will file such an application.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

    2. Complete, sign and upload the\u00a0NJ<\/strong>\u00a0Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0only. Login in to\u00a0NJFAMS<\/a>\u00a0NJ State Higher Education Assistance Authority (HESAA<\/a>) student system.<\/li>\n
    3. Enrolled for 6 credits per term \u2013\u00a0Exception EOF students\u00a0final\u00a0term, may be eligible if registered for less.<\/em><\/li>\n
    4. Must not have a prior associates or higher college degree<\/li>\n
    5. Making satisfactory academic progress (continuing students)<\/li>\n
    6. Review and complete your \u2018To Do List\u2019, uploading them to\u00a0NJFAMS<\/a>\u00a0student system.<\/li>\n

      Once your\u00a0NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application<\/a>\u00a0for NJ State Aid has been processed by the State and received by the Financial Aid Office, our office may contact you requesting additional documents.\u00a0 Once received we will begin the award determination and notification process.\u00a0 Please monitor\u00a0CCM Titans Direct<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and your\u00a0CCM student email<\/a>\u00a0as these are the Financial Aid Office\u2019s electronic method of communication.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n

      Summer NJ State Tuition Aid Grant Available<\/h2>\n

      Eligibility \u2013 To be eligible for Summer TAG this year a student must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. have received a TAG award in the Fall and Spring terms<\/li>\n
      2. be enrolled in six or more credit hours during summer semester;<\/li>\n
      3. be enrolled in courses that are in the same undergraduate program at the same institution in which the student was enrolled during the fall or spring semester<\/li>\n
      4. be enrolled in courses that may be credited towards the student\u2019s graduation or academic major requirements. And not repeated courses for EOF students.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Attention:<\/strong> Summer TAG amount is prorated based on the full-time TAG award the student received in the preceding semester(s).<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n

                  Unemployment Educational Benefits & Waiver<\/h2>\n

                  Individuals currently receiving state unemployment benefits may qualify for New Jersey\u2019s Workforce Development Partnership Program which assist financially to obtain training for approved training programs. Your Workforce Development Partnership counselor must approve benefits before you enroll in a training program. It is strongly that interested individuals also apply for Federal and NJ State financial aid assistance by completing the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), indicating the college of your choice prior to submittal.<\/p>\n
