If you are intrigued by the culinary world from all aspects of food preparation including cooking or baking to working in food management or becoming a food truck entrepreneur, consider earning a Certificate of Achievement in Culinary Arts at CCM. This certification provides a solid foundation, one that is highly valued in the culinary industry, and can open many doors for you.<\/p>\n

At CCM you receive basic training for entry level opportunities, or the foundation for advanced studies, including Serv-Safe food handling certification.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>forthcoming\u00a0<\/span>11,325-square-feet\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Center for<\/span>\u00a0Entrepreneurship and Culinary Science (CECS)<\/span>, which is set to<\/span>\u00a0fully<\/span>\u00a0open<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0Spring<\/span>\u00a02026, w<\/span>ill serve as the home\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span>\u00a0CCM\u2019s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Culinary and Hospitality Arts Institute of New Jersey (CHAI-NJ<\/span>). You now <\/span>have the opportunity to<\/span> learn, <\/span>experiment<\/span> and build your future in a space that reflects the innovation and energy of today\u2019s culinary world.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The new Baking Kitchen is one of your learning labs and is one of the best in the area. This stunning new facility reflects the highest standard and is outfitted with top-tier equipment, including advanced Combi-ovens, a <\/span>r<\/span>otating <\/span>b<\/span>read<\/span> o<\/span>ven, marble-topped tables and “Boos” block workstations, A <\/span>14-foot dough sheeter<\/span>, 40-quart <\/span>g<\/span>lobe mixers and Vulcan stoves\u2014to support a full range of instruction.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Curriculum<\/p>\r\n

Our Culinary Arts certificate is a 10-credit curriculum. Required courses include:<\/p>\n

  • Food Management<\/li>\n
  • Serv-Safe Food Handling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    You may choose to pursue an internship or expand upon your skillset in one of these specific areas: Food Production, Introduction to Baking, International Cuisines or Food Truck Entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

    This certificate is also a great entry into the associate degree program in Culinary Arts and Science at CCM.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n
