About our English Language Learning Program<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

CCM\u2019s English Language Learning (ELL) program provides English language instruction for adults to increase their ability to communicate in English. The content includes reading, writing, speaking and listening skills useful in schools, businesses, or in the workplace. <\/span>A student\u2019s fluency and confidence will grow with each level of learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is <\/span>one book specific to each class level; students work through each book.\u00a0 The book includes an online learning component called MyEnglishLab that provides practice exercises.<\/p>\n

At CCM, we offer classes in the mornings OR evenings for your convenience. The classes meet twice per week, either Monday\/Wednesday, OR Tuesday\/Thursday. You can pick whatever works best for your schedule. Our instructors are experienced and understand the needs of adult learners.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ESL Foundations of English (ENS-321E)<\/p>\r\n

This course will provide non-native speakers from all over the world with foundational skills in English Language in order to learn the essentials of speaking, reading, writing and listening.\u00a0 It is intended for people who have no or extremely limited English language communication skills.\u00a0 Individuals with marginal skills will find this an excellent first course.\u00a0 Students will learn the American alphabet sounds, pronunciation, phonetics, numbers, vocabulary, simple grammar and the basics of English communication.\u00a0 Students will practice pronunciation with in-class exercises, become comfortable speaking with each other and conversing with English language speakers outside the classroom.\u00a0 This course develops the basic language skills needed by students in order to move on to Early Beginner classes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
