The word Bursar is derived from the Latin word \u201cBursa\u201d meaning \u201cpurse.\u201d So as can be reasoned, our office is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition, fees and other college charges. They consist of:<\/p>\n<h3>Volunteer Fire and Rescue<\/h3>\n<p>Volunteer Fire and Rescue personnel, and\/or their spouse and dependent children, may receive a maximum waiver of $600 of tuition costs per family, per academic year. To obtain this waiver, the completed VTC5 form with a raised seal must be obtained from the municipality. The VTC5 form and remaining payment must then be received by the Bursar Office, together, and by the due date to avoid late fees and subsequent schedule cancellation. To enroll under the tuition free program, they must first file a <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAFSA<\/a> and then present the appropriate documentation to the Veterans Representative in the Counseling Office located in The Academic Success Center &#8211; Cohen Hall 203. The Veterans Representative will provide the CCM National Guard Form which must then be presented to the Bursar Office along with the balance of payment, by the due date to avoid late fees and possible cancellation of schedule.
