If you haven\u2019t received this email, contact <a href=\"mailto:admiss@ccm.edu\">admiss@ccm.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Next, you will receive a second email from The Academic Success Center (TASC) outlining your next steps for advisement and registration for the upcoming term. Before the start of the term, you can drop your classes online through<a href=\"https:\/\/titansdirect.ccm.edu\/Student\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fStudent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u202fTitans Direct<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is always recommended that you discuss your intent to withdraw with your professor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two Options for withdrawing from courses:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can complete a\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccm.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Withdrawal-Form-Interactive1-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Withdrawal Form<\/a>, then scan and email to <a href=\"mailto:registrar@ccm.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">registrar@ccm.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p>Submit a request via email with the following information:<\/p>\n<p>Subject Line of the email should be\u00a0\u201cWithdrawal from Course&#8221;. Please include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Last Name<\/li>\n<li>First Name<\/li>\n<li>CCM ID<\/li>\n<li>Term<\/li>\n<li>Course Section<\/li>\n<li>Course Title<\/li>\n<li>Reason<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are withdrawing from more than one course, please include all courses in one email, following the format provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**Please only submit\u202f1\u202frequest and allow 2\u202fweeks for processing and receiving a confirmation before submitting a\u202f2nd\u202frequest.**\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Merely notifying the instructor is not an official withdrawal.<\/p>\n<h3>What does a \u201cW\u201d mean on your transcript?<\/h3>\n<p>Students who officially withdraw from a course will receive a \u201cW\u2019\u2019 designation. A \u201cW\u201d designation will not adversely affect the student\u2019s GPA.\u202f The withdrawal will be effective as of the date the student submits the Withdrawal Form to the Office of Records and Registration.<\/p>\n<p>Students who do not complete the course and who do not complete the withdrawal process will receive an \u201cF\u201d unless there are extenuating circumstances. If extenuating circumstances prevail, the student must contact the Office of Counseling Services to be considered for the late withdrawal process.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the term and the week the student is withdrawing from he\/she may receive withdrawal designations.\u202fHowever, the faculty member may still assign a grade of \u201cF\u2019\u2019 if he or she properly notified the student by using the Faculty Notification of Possible Failure Form. After 75% of the semester is completed, students are committed to complete the courses and receive grades.\u202fA student who fails to officially withdraw will receive a grade of \u201cF.\u201d\u202fThe \u201cW\u201d designation will not be issued after 75% of the course is completed unless extenuating circumstances prevail or without approval from the faculty member.<\/p>\n<h3>Will I get a refund?<\/h3>\n<p>If a student drops courses within the refund period, a refund of tuition will be processed according to the refund policy dates\u202fand no courses or grades will be included on the student\u2019s transcript.\u202fWithdrawing outside of the refund period means no refund will be processed.<\/p>\n<p>Note to all financial aid recipients:\u202fPlease contact the Financial Aid Office before withdrawing from classes.
