We are dedicated to academic rigor, integrity and collaboration. We have responsibilities to our communities and society as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>Any eligible CCM student can participate in the honors curriculum through honors coursework, or may apply for acceptance to the CCM Honors Program.<\/p>\n<p>Honors courses offer smaller class sizes in which all students enrolled are honors students. Honors option courses offer those who excel in the core courses of their major or specific subjects an opportunity to achieve a higher level of competence in a regular section of a class.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the standard assignments, students will complete an honors project that relates to the course objectives, and they will work closely with the professor to complete the project.<\/p>\n main-title\">CCM Honors Program<\/h3>\r\n                                                                            <div class=\"txt-size-18 description\">\r\n                                <p>The CCM Honors Program is a full program for a cohort of students. After applying to and being accepted into the program, students work towards earning honors designation on their transcript for their degree. In addition to the required number of credits, students must complete an honors capstone project that is presented at the Student Showcase hosted by CCM Honors.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nTo receive an honors designation on their transcript, students enrolled in Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, and Associate of Science programs must complete 18 credits of honors courses. Students enrolled in Associate of Applied Science programs must complete 16 credits of honors courses.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nIf accepted as an Honors Program student, you are eligible for the following if you maintain the program requirements:<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All benefits of CCM Honors<\/li>\n<li>Application for the George A. Snow Honors Scholarship<\/h2>\n<p>The George A. Snow Honors Scholarship is an annual award to support students in the CCM Honors Program. George A. Snow is a former CCM Trustee and strong advocate of academic excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Amount of Award: $500 semester award. Snow Honors Scholarship\u201d in the Other Designation box.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n<section class=\"spacer medium\"><\/section>\n\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wysiwyg-block nav-section fade-in-container with-margins full-li-items\" id=\"\">\r\n    <div class=\"offset-x-desktop-162 fade-el\">\r\n        <div class=\"max-w-container w-1596\">\r\n            <h2>Honors Eligibility<\/h2>\n<p>Honors courses are open to students enrolled in the CCM Honors Program, and also to students<br \/>\nwho qualify academically to take honors courses but are not in the CCM Honors Program.<\/p>\n<h3>Challenger Program Students<\/h3>\n<p>High school juniors or seniors who are recommended by a guidance counselor or teacher may take appropriate honors courses with the permission of CCM Honors.<\/p>\n<h3>Incoming Students<\/h3>\n<p>Students new to CCM should meet one of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum score of 1240 on the SAT<\/li>\n<li>Minimum score of 26 on the ACT<\/li>\n<li>Top 10% of high school graduating class<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>CCM Students<\/h3>\n<p>Currently enrolled students at the college must complete a minimum of 12 credits at CCM and<br \/>\nhave a 3.3 or higher GPA at CCM.<\/p>\n<h3>Transfer Students<\/h3>\n<p>Students that have transferred into CCM should consult with CCM Honors to determine<br \/>\neligibility.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t meet the above criteria, but interested in taking an honors course? Some of you may have all the requirements to participate in this program, but you may still feel that the classes may be too demanding.
