Scholarships and some grants may be based on academic merit or documented economic hardship.<\/p>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n<section class=\"spacer small\"><\/section>\n\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wysiwyg-block nav-section fade-in-container  full-li-items\" id=\"\">\r\n    <div class=\"offset-x-desktop-162 fade-el\">\r\n        <div class=\"max-w-container w-1596\">\r\n            <div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Awarding<\/strong> \u2013 General awarding is based on an anticipated full-time and part-time enrollment at a pending status and if less, awards may be reduced after the registration period each term and prior to disbursement.\u00a0 Awarded amounts may vary continually as student finalize their schedule and after an initial award notification during the registration period, due to changes in the number of credits registered until the start of the term or changes in late-start term credits. Therefore, it is recommended that students notify the Financial Aid Office of changes in their credit load, especially if registered for less than 12 credits each term.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ATTENTION:<\/strong>\u00a0All awards, loans included are contingent upon meeting all eligibility criteria which govern the listed awards such as, class attendance, satisfactory academic progress, Federal and state appropriations which are subject to change without notice.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_separator wpb_content_element vc_separator_align_center vc_sep_width_80 vc_sep_pos_align_center vc_separator_no_text vc_sep_color_black\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Eligible students may be funded between July 1st \u2013 June 30th\u00a0\u00a0<em>(Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer terms),\u00a0<\/em>based on Federal, NJ State and or CCM Foundation scholarship and grants application terms and conditions\u00a0<em>(annual filing required).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. You must have and submit proof to CCM Admissions Office earning a \u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>High School diploma<\/strong>\u00a0(final transcript) or a<\/li>\n<li><strong>General Education Development<\/strong>\u00a0(GED) Certificate or<\/li>\n<li><strong>Home Study School equivalency<\/strong>\u00a0from an authorized US Department of Ed. Accrediting Agency or<\/li>\n<li>Not meet any of the above, you must complete the appropriate Ability-To-Benefit (ATB) test for Federal financial aid assistance\u00a0<strong>\u2013 ACCUPLACER,<\/strong>\u00a0receiving passing scores in Arithmetic\u00a0<em>(&gt;=230)<\/em>, Reading\u00a0<em>(&gt;=233)<\/em>\u00a0and Writing\u00a0<em>(&gt;=235)<\/em>\u00a0or<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. You must be accepted for admission to CCM in a degree seeking or an approved Career Pathway certificate program.\u00a0 Additionally, student\u2019s enrolled for non-credited courses and\/or audited course credits, are not eligible to receive financial aid.\u00a0 <em>Exception* \u2013 Developmental and ESL course work are eligible to receive financial aid up to 30 non-credit hours only, as prescribed by the College.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3. *<strong>Eligibility for ESL and Developmental course credits:<\/strong><br \/>\nRegistered students accepted to a CCM Degree or eligible Certificate Program taking ESL and or Developmental courses may be eligible for Federal financial aid assistance for no more than 30 credits. All additional course credits must be required for their CCM degree or eligible certificate program for continued financial aid assistance.\u00a0\u00a0Non-Degree seeking students taking ESL and Developmental courses only are not eligible for aid.<\/p>\n<p>4. However, they must first confirm with approval their residency with the Registrar Office,\u00a0 located in the Student Community Center, Room SCC 220. Failure to meet satisfactory academic progress requirements may affect future financial aid eligibility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAP Appeals<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Notified students of being at risk of financial aid ineligibility, have a right to appeal for continued financial aid eligibility.\u00a0 The appeal letter is your opportunity to inform us of reason(s) for current academic standing, such as unusual and or extenuating circumstances (i.e., death in family, serious illness- medical statement, etc.), or withdrawing\/stop attending classes, or returning to the college after a leave of absence.\u00a0\u00a0<em>Attention: Currently registered students may delay their submission of the SAP Appeal letter until the end of the term, based on their improved academic progress of 2.0 gpa or greater.\u00a0 Additionally, withdrawal from class or all classes after the withdrawal period, are treated as failed courses.\u00a0 Exception- CCM approved medical withdrawal. Contact the Dean of Students or the Registrar\u2019s Office.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Currently registered students may delay their submission of the SAP Appeal Letter (if requested) until the end of the term, after grades are received.<\/strong>\u00a0 At which time, the Financial Aid Office will automatically re-evaluate their academic progress, informing them of the results by requesting either an SAP Appeal, or notifying them of their continued financial aid eligibility, based on meeting the satisfactory academic progress requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Withdrawal Policy for Financial Aid Recipients<\/h3>\n<p><em>Message:<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<em>Financial aid recipients are advised to consult with\u00a0a financial aid advisor to determine the impact (if any) their withdrawal from the college, or reduced number of credits may have, if previously awarded aid (loans included<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>CCM Return of Federal Financial Aid\u00a0Policy\u00a0<em>(Title IV Funds)<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Return of Federal Title IV Funds \u2013 This is the colleges federally calculated assessment of federal financial aid\u00a0<em>(Pell, SEOG, Stafford Loan)<\/em>\u00a0recipients who\u00a0<strong>withdraw\u00a0officially<em>\u00a0(last date of class attendance)<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0unofficially<em>(stop-out\/never attended)<\/em>\u00a0from the college prior to the end of the semester.<\/strong>\u00a0 Calculated results may result with the term ineligible award amount portion returned to the U.S .
